Where to keep your loyalty cards now Stocard has closed
Klarna bought Stocard in 2021 and has since closed the Stocard app; its cards moved into the Klarna app. If you want your supermarket, fuel, pharmacy, hardware, gym and club cards on your phone, these are the main choices in Australia - including where our own app, SponsorWallet, is the weaker pick.
Last checked 5 October 2026. SponsorWallet is made by SponsorLink.au, so we are not neutral - tell us if anything here is out of date: [email protected].

When SponsorWallet is the better pick
- You only want somewhere to keep your cards - not a shopping or payments app.
- You have an iPhone and cards that Apple Wallet can't take (most supermarket, pharmacy and local shop cards).
- Your household mixes iPhone and Android, or you want the same cards on a computer.
- You belong to a local sports club on SponsorLink.au and want its membership card next to your other cards.
When something else is the better pick
- You're on Android and happy with Google Wallet - it already takes barcode cards from a photo and opens from the lock screen.
- You want cards on your Apple Watch - only Apple Wallet does that, for stores that issue passes.
- You already use Klarna - your old Stocard cards are already there.
- You need an app-store app - SponsorWallet is a web app for now (app-store versions are planned).

Is SponsorWallet free?
Yes. There is no paid version and no advertising. SponsorWallet is made by SponsorLink.au, which helps local businesses support local sports clubs.
What cards can I keep in SponsorWallet?
Any card with a barcode or QR code - supermarket, fuel, pharmacy, hardware, gym, library and club cards. Scan it with the camera, read it from a screenshot, or type the number. Cards without a barcode can be kept as photos of the front and back.
What happened to Stocard?
Klarna bought Stocard in 2021 and has since closed the Stocard app; its cards moved into the Klarna app. If you would rather keep loyalty cards somewhere that is not a shopping and payments app, you can scan or type the same cards into SponsorWallet.
Does SponsorWallet work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It runs in the web browser on any phone or computer, and you can add it to your home screen like an app. App-store versions are planned.
Is my card information safe?
Card numbers, notes and photos are encrypted (AES-256) and stored in Australia (Sydney). You can export your cards to a backup file, and delete your account and every card from the account page at any time.
Does it work without phone signal?
The wallet keeps a copy of your cards on your phone, so an open wallet still shows them if the signal drops. Opening it from scratch needs a connection.
Can I keep my local sports club membership card in it?
Yes, if your club uses SponsorLink.au. Link your membership from the wallet and its card appears next to your other cards.
